A huge “Thank you!”
First, I just want to thank you all for walking with me this year. My first, single, “Small”, was monumental. I performed it with some great people and was even a featured artist at a cool festival. You streamed it and shared it with your friends. For that, I am grateful. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
The point of this post
Which leads me to the point of this blog post. I was reading an article on best practices for releasing music. (Find the article here.) Two things that stuck out to me were:
- Releasing music is more about planning and marketing than anything.
- The post schedule is even more important than the release schedule is. Lol who would have thought?
With that said, I have constructed some outstanding goals for the 2024 year.
They are:
- Release a new project each quarter. This could be an original song or a feature. It could be a video or more. But something will get released!
- Post to Instagram and YouTube at least once a week. This is a big feat for me, lol. I rarely share anything about my life or process. So don't judge.
